Meet the face behind the wheel

Hi! I’m Cansın, the artist behind the wheel at Cansın’s Ceramics. My journey with pottery began in 2023 while living in Turkey, working from home as a translator. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion—I fell in love with the feel of raw clay and the meditative process of shaping it into something beautiful and functional.

I soon realized that pottery was more than just a creative outlet; it was my true calling. A once-a-week studio visit wasn’t enough, and I knew I couldn’t spend my days behind a computer while my hands longed for clay. So, after moving to the Netherlands, I took a leap of faith—leaving my day job to fully immerse myself in ceramics. Working as a studio assistant in various ceramic studios, I perfected my skills, deepened my understanding of the craft, and learned the intricacies of running a ceramics business.

Now, with years of experience and a deep passion for the art, I’m proud to share my handcrafted ceramics with the world.

What began as a dream is now a reality—one carefully crafted piece at a time.
